(More customer reviews)You can bypass all those other books that focus on only one aspect of infertility.This book covers it all.It starts at the beginning and does not assume that you have previous knowledge of the field.First, the author explains "natural conception" , ie. how sperm fertilizes the egg and fetus develops, and then covers causes of infertility, your emotional responses to infertilty and even describes what to expect when you are undergoing various exams and testing. What's more, the book is well-organized so you don't have to read it from cover to cover (though you may find yourself doing so anyway, just so you don't miss anything!) When you receive feedback from your doctor, e.g. regarding your lab results, you can go to the book and easily look up whatever feedback you received, to learn more.He provides descriptions of all the interventions for infertility and ink drawings are provided (e.g. the device used to collect eggs from the follicles, and a diagram of the embryo transfer process.)This book was written by one of the pioneers in the field of infertility treatment and assisted reproduction and it provides accurate information.
