(More customer reviews)I have to admit that our story is part of this book.We have gone through the tough road of infertility and the terrible news that I could "not" have a child.At the time, 3 years ago, we were told that there was no way I could have a child.I was devastated.I scoured the libraries and exhausted the Internet trying to find hope.There was, and is, a lot of scientific and medical data (dry and technical) but I could never find success stories or personal stories of people also going through these crises.Fortunately for us we found the right doctors and persevered through a lot of testing and treatments and were successful, with much help, and are the delighted parents of a wonderful two year old boy.Through our journey we met a lot of folks in similar circumstances and one intrepid journalist who asked if she could share our story.

I wish this book had been available when I was feeling so hopeless.I wish that someone, anyone, could have told me how much joy we could have by pursuing our dream.Gilli Moorhawk's book "Miracle Babies" is now out there for all hopeful parents to read the personal, human side of battling and overcoming infertility.I really hope this book finds its way into the lives of those who think it's never going to happen for them.Because it can, and it does and it's so wonderful.Thanks Gilli.

I have purchased many of these books for friends because I believe all women should read it before going on HRT. It is extremely educational, and easy to read.
It has help me find the balance that I have been looking for for years. I only wish I would have known this information when I was in my 30's. I highly recommend this book. It is a book that you can continually reference. She gives information not only on Natural Progesterone, but also on supplements and what kind and doses may work for you as well as stories of other womens experiences that we can all relate too.

(More customer reviews)This book is an excellent, easy to read reference, that informs women by giving accurate, up to date information regardingpregnancy, birth and family planning.Ronnie Lichtman,CNM has introduced a fresh format in which midwifery care is introduced and midwives are included throughout this comprehensive guide as primary healthcare providers for women.This book gives different alternatives regarding providers, birth settings such as hospitals, free standing birthing centers, hospital birth centers, and home births and different types of collaborative practices available.
Pregnancy is acknowledged as a healthy state, not a medical event and that our bodies are designed to bring life into the world, they are "biologically competent". Complications are discussed, but women should walk away with the knowledge that childbearing is safe and that they have many birth options available to them.
I applaud Lynn Simpson, MD and Allan Rosenfield, MD for continuing to believe as did Dr.Guttmacher, of each woman's right to have information about her body and of her ability to enter into a partnership with her physician or midwife and make informed choices.
As one her former students, I would like to thank Ronnie for expanding women's options for midwifery care through the sharing of her knowledge and experience, and for working so hard to provide her colleagues and midwifery students an open path in which to practice.

I reviewed what would be the best results for my own situation, discussed it with my doctor -- and took the supplements and other advice.My GYN said he'd never heard of the book - I bought HIM a copy - but that he had never had someone come through this surgery and 'bounce back' as quickly as I did.
